Been thinking about having a swine flu shot? There has been lots of hype out there about an impending “Pandemic”,but just what is behind all this? Is it a real threat? Are the vaccines safe for you and I and our kids? Are those that refuse this preventative just a bunch of loons?
These are questions that have been increasingly asked in recent days. The news media and the current administration have lined up to advocate the mass inoculations but lately there has been a number of sources that are saying,“Not so fast here!”You hear scare stories on the TV about how people at risk should hurry out to line up for the shots like teenagers lining up for tickets to a rock concert.
According to a number of sources (see the end of this article) the new swine flu vaccine has a number of possible problems. First,the US Government has recently exempted itself for liability should problems arise and has also exempted companies that manufacture the vaccines. Does that give you a warm fuzzy feeling as you roll up your sleeve? As a result of a recent lawsuit,a Preliminary Injunction to stop mandatory vaccinations has been issued in the United States District Court of New Jersey. This after a federal lawsuit opposing forced vaccines was filed in that court by Tim Vawter on July 31st with the federal government as defendant. This injunction is to stop the federal government from forcing anyone in any state to take flu vaccine against their will.
Why would the government want to do that any way? Well,apparently there are a number of states (Mass,New Jersy,and others) that prohibit folks from refusing vaccines under certain circumstances. Likewise the US Government requires various employees,including the military,to be vaccinated for various things including the flu. (As a retired military officer who got the flu from the vaccine repeatedly I am very aware of this policy. After a couple experiences I scheduled my shots on Mondays so I wouldn’t get sick on my weekends off!)
Numerous doctors have indicated they will not be lining up for the shots,especially neurologists that have received warnings about the danger that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS),which could be triggered by the vaccine. GBS attacks nerve linings causing paralysis and inability to breathe,and can be fatal. In 1976 when a similar swine flu vaccine was produced there were far more deaths from the vaccine than there were from the flu. There were hundreds of cases of GBS linked to the program that was halted after only 10 weeks. The government spent millions of dollars in payments to people injured by the program,thus the recent action to exempt themselves from liability.
Conclusion of this author:Will I take the swine flu vaccine? Not only no but “Hell NO!”and you shouldn’t either,unless of course you are really into kissing pigs.

Before I was drafted into the Army I received a flu shot which gave me the worse case of it ever. In boot camp they decided that we all were to get a flu shot. I told them that I would not take it because it would give me the flu. I was jeered,mocked,and called chicken and yellow. Then I was sentenced to 2 weekends of KP duty for reprisal. Small wonder that I have no use for the govt. calling the shots on such a thing. Since the 9-11 building implosions I no longer trust our government..sad to say. It is possible to love the country while totally distrusting the parties currently in charge. I do indeed wish it were otherwise.
If it’s not the media,it’s the government! Global Warming;Bird Flu;Swine Flu;Asian Flu,to name a few. How about Y2k? A child of God,in these days,needs the promises of God’s Word–”He is my refuge and my strength,my very present help in time of trouble. Therefore,I will not fear. Though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.”“Himself bore our sins in his own body upon the tree so that we being dead to sins might live unto rightousness;by whose stripes we were healed.”
God never intended for His kids to live on this earth in panic or fear!
