Thoughts on Wisconsin

For the past week we have been witness to the depths of depravity of liberalism in Wisconsin. Fourteen elected Democratic representatives in the state’s senate have fled to another state to protect their supposed right to prevent the legislative process while thousands of teachers abandoned their classrooms to wave signs accusing the governor of being a Nazi supporter of Qadaffi and Mubarac. Democratic congressman Rep. Michael Capuano from Massachusetts told union workers in Wisconsin,“Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary.” Medical doctors from the University of Wisconsin pass out “sick notes” to union members that left their jobs to protest, some of them, teachers who took students with them closing down the schools while proclaiming they are “protecting the students”. This is not from minimum wage employees,it is from teachers and other public employee union members who are making upwards of $75,000 per year while forcing their state into bankruptcy!

These ridiculous tactics are being encouraged and orchestrated by the DNC with encouragement directly from the White House.  Obama was quick to come out with comments about “ratcheting down the rhetoric”just a few weeks ago,but now totally turns a blind eye to the outrageous actions in Wisconson as well as similar events in Indiana,  Ohio, and elsewhere as these states try to dig their way out of the looming likelihood of impending bankruptcy.

The national news media is quick to condemn the Tea Party and accuse them of everything from extremism to violence in their protests while they can produce not one single picture or video of such actions.  All the while they say not a single word about the hundreds of documented and obvious extremist and fraudulent actions of the activists in Madison.  They don’t even condemn Capuano for openly calling for violence in the streets of Madison!

Enough is enough.  Everything possible should be done to strip these people of the public feedbag that they have strapped around their neck.  The legislators that refuse to legislate should be stripped of their elected positions.  Their seats should declared “vacated”by the governor and special elections scheduled to replace them with people that will actually show up to represent their constituents.   Rep Capauno should be charged for attempting to incite a riot,a crime under federal law as well as in all fifty states!  Teachers that were away from their jobs claiming “sick days”should be identified from the thousands of photos and videos available and fired for the fraud they perpetuated on the taxpayers of Wisconsin.  Likewise for other public employees that participated illegally in this debacle should be terminated.

Physicians that falsified “sick notes” should have their licenses pulled and prohibited from practicing medicine in the future. That idiot that kept screaming “Fox lies,Fox lies” attempting to prevent Fox news reporters from accurately reporting the events should be deported just for extreme stupidity or perhaps referred to a local vet for neutering just to prevent the potential of spreading the insanity by breeding. Media representatives that turned a blind eye to the Nazi signs and rhetoric should, well since they are not public employees, they should be just ignored and their outlets boycotted by reasonable people.

We have a federal government that is $14 trillion (that’s a 14 followed by twelve zeros folks) and instead of making a serious effort to work on correcting that problem Obama submits a budget that perpetuates federal deficits for the foreseeable future. Obama and his Democratic cohorts ran up almost as much of that debt in two years as Bush did in eight yet continue to blame Bush for the current financial plight accepting none of the blame for themselves. Now when states attempt to correct for their looming bankruptcies he supports the status quo and advocates for the glutenous public service unions that are raping the taxpayers of the states of Wisconsin,Indiana,Ohio, and elsewhere with bloated contracts.

Enough is enough folks. We have teachers who can’t even spell, showing up with protest signs such as one I saw that proudly proclaimed “Sav are teachers”. They are illegally demonstrating with falsified claims for being out sick while protesting for the indefensibly bloated contracts that are bankrupting our states. Our schools are failing and children are graduating that are functionally illiterate while teachers in WI are protesting for contracts far in excess of what is found in the private sector. Nationally we are broke and quickly approaching the point of default and the situation is becoming more critical day by day. This insanity must stop or we will simply cease to exist as a nation.

    The Great Reneger

    Showdown In Massachusetts

The campaigning is over, the votes are cast, the decision is in.  Now the fingers are pointing. “Coakley was a weak candidate.”  “She didn’t work hard enough.”  “She didn’t have the ‘fire in her belly.’”  “She made too many gaffes.”

All these finger pointing exercises are phony.  The race for the senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy was lost in Washington, not in Massachusetts.  A month ago Coakley had a traditional Massachusetts style Democrat lead in the polls.  This is expected since Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than three to one there.  Obama won this state by over twenty points and Coakley’s lead at that time was similar.   After all, this was the most secure senate seat in the nation for the Democrats.

Then some things happened far away in DC.   The Democrats in the senate used their super majority to pass “Obamacare” without one single vote from the opposition party.  They did it with back room deals closed to the public view where they bought off votes with bribes and blackmail.   Such was the massive $300 million dollar Louisiana Purchase wherein Mary Landrieu became the “most expensive prostitute in history”.  This was followed by an even more egregious deal with Nebraska in which the other forty nine states would pay Nebraska’s share of the taxes to support Obamacare.

They shut out the opposition party from any participation in the drafting of the bill while it was formatted by lobbyists, unions, and other favored groups behind closed doors and far from the public view.  This in spite of their pledge to be the most open and honest administration ever.

After passage of the bill they immediately began the house/senate conference process once again behind closed doors.  When specifically questioned as to why they were not letting Cspan cameras into the process as Obama promised at least eight times during the campaign,Pelosi laughed and said,“A lot of things are said on the campaign trail.”   Take that America!!

Basically the Democrat leadership thumbed their noses at the American public.  They lied about being open, honest, and above board while conducting themselves in a despicable and tyrannical manner.  The were acting in a most  elitist and undemocratic way while obviously lying about their every action in the assumption that the stupid American public didn’t know the difference.

Then the state of Massachusetts began the process to elect a new senator to fill an open seat vacated by Ted Kennedy’s death.  Their state had passed a universal healthcare bill several years ago and now they were being asked to pay more taxes for the rest of the nation to do likewise.  Already their state was running into financial trouble trying to pay for their system and they were being tasked to fund Nebraska too?  Surely you’ve gotta be kidding!

The result was very predictable to anyone with a half a brain.  All Scott Brown had to do was drive around the state in his truck and point out that the Democrats were treating them as a bunch of idiots.  He didn’t have to even call on the Republican big hitters to support him.  They weren’t needed as long as he could simply point out how Washington was playing Massachusetts and the rest of the nation as a bunch of dummys  that weren’t worthy of consideration.

He promised to be the 41st vote to stop Obamacare and he climbed steadily in the polls.  He promised to restrain taxes and out of control spending and he climbed higher in the polls.  By the time the Democrats figured out this insidious master plan it was too late and the momentum was unstopable.  Coakley had already gone on record supporting the entire Obama agenda with its  new taxes, higher spending and massive deficits that would just get bigger year by year.

Washington attempted to point the blame at the deficits of the Bush administration but the spin didn’t ring true.   After all,Obama’s deficits,  by their own calculations,in only the first 20 months will exceed all of Bush’s for the entire eight years  of his presidency!  Something  didn’t compute and it didn’t take much to make the voters understand that!

Now Brown had Obamacare, spending, and government corruption to hammer his opponent with.  No wonder he won so handily.   The Democrats in Washington had transformed the safest seat in the nation into a totally unwinnable situation.

The only question about this is,will they acknowledge their errors and correct their course to try to regain the trust of the American people as Clinton did after Nov of  ‘94?  Or will they rely on spin and finger pointing to attempt to  assess the blame  as has been their habit of late.

My guess is the latter.   Obama is not Clinton.  Regardless of his promises to govern as a moderate,he is an ideologue with his allegiance placed with a far left agenda.  Additionally the left of his party has promised to destroy him if he changes course.  He will likely continue on his current path until the inevitable train wreck occurs and that will likely occur somewhere around 9:30 p.m. on November 2nd 2010.

However, other Democrats in the house and senate are likely not to share his view as most of them are facing reelection battles in only a few months.   Now that they know the nature of the road they are on I suspect that they will be much less inclined to continue on that Kamikaze path they have followed for the last year.

The most liberal state in the nation has spoken and their message is that they do not want the socialist utopia that Obama,Reid, and Pelosi are serving up.  They can figure out that it is a path to ruin even if their leadership can not!  If they can figure it out don’t you think the people in the other states might just do likewise?

    Dishonesty,Intimidation,Hypocrisy and Medicare Advantage

    written by Newt Gingrich

The editorial writers at the New York Times thought they were getting the White House’s back when they defended cuts to Medicare Advantage last week. In fact, they were validating the blatant dishonesty of administration and congressional officials pushing for the cuts.

In their editorial last Sunday, the Times writers revealed in stunning fashion the lies that have been used to convince increasingly skeptical seniors that their Medicare Advantage benefits won’t be sacrificed to pay for government-run health care.

In one breath, the Times claimed the effect of Medicare Advantage cuts will be “modest”:
“Although Republican rhetoric has triggered fears that Medicare Advantage enrollees might lose their coverage entirely if private plans drop out of the system, the real effect of the bill would likely be modest on average.”

Then, literally on the next line, the Times contradicts itself, and stumbles inadvertently on to the truth:
“The value of an enrollee’s added benefits would shrink by more than half from current levels but would not disappear;they would still be worth about $500 a year in 2019 (emphasis added).”

Medicare Advantage was created to do what the Center for Health Transformation (CHT) has long fought for:To give all seniors more private choices of higher quality health care. It currently provides almost 11 million Americans coverage through private insurance plans. Recent data shows that these seniors have better health outcomes than those in traditional Medicare.

Current legislation in Washington will gut the program. H.R. 3200 in the House will cut Medicare Advantage by $172 billion. The bill sponsored by Sen. Max Baucus in the Senate will cut the popular program by $123 billion.

If you’re just hearing about this now, here’s the reason:When Humana (with whom we’ve worked with in the past at CHT) tried to inform its Medicare Advantage members that Democratic health care reform could lower their benefits, the government ordered them to cease and desist and opened an investigation of the company.

Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) subsequently introduced legislation in the Senate Finance Committee to protect the 1st Amendment rights of private insurance companies to criticize health care reform proposals.

Democrats on the committee unanimously defeated the bill.

Hypocrisy: The AARP Sells Out Seniors
But while Humana was censored by the government from talking to its Medicare Advantage enrollees about proposed Democratic cuts, another Medicare Advantage provider —the AARP —has been left free to lobby its members.

Of course the Washington leadership of the AARP is working closely with Democrats on health care reform. Incredibly, the self-appointed voice of America’s seniors supports “reforms” that will cut the benefits —if not the entire Medicare Advantage coverage —of millions of seniors.

How can this be? It’s simple. The AARP is a liberal interest group like any other, and it cut a deal with the party in charge in Washington. In exchange for selling out the seniors it claims to represent, the AARP will get potentially millions in lucrative insurance contracts, and quite possibly something more.

Tell Your Friends We’re Not Going to Take It Anymore
No plan that has to be advanced through dishonesty, intimidation and hypocrisy has the support of the American people.

But all that is required for these tactics to prevail in Washington is for good people to sit back and do nothing.

As debate in Congress continues, here’s what you can do:Send this newsletter to a friend,a co-worker,or a relative who isn’t yet aware of what Washington is doing.

Send this newsletter to your senators and representatives. Let them know that, despite the dishonesty, the intimidation and the hypocrisy,we know what they’re doing.

And we’re not going to take it anymore.

    Your friend,
    Newt Gingrich

Newt’s letter above outlines a lot of what is going on with the liberal establishment in Washington. Contact your representatives and let them know in no uncertain terms that what happened in Virginia and New Jersey Nov 3rd is nothing compared to Nov ’10 if they continue the current pattern. Contact your friends, and anyone else that will listen and tell them what you think about the sell out of seniors in America!

Many of us seniors have depended on the AARP for years for information, cost saving offers, and representation of seniors interests. We can not depend on them to do that and we can not sit by like sheep while they accept our membership fees at the same time they sell us out in Washington while lying to us to boot! Let them know what you think by cutting up your AARP card and sending it back to them!

There is an alternative with the American Seniors Association. Perhaps even a better suggestion is to cut up your AARP card and send it to the ASA with your new membership application. They will give you a second years membership for that cut up card! That’s a whole lot more than we are getting from AARP these days.

Check out the American Seniors Association It is a true seniors advocacy organization that has not sold out to the big money offers from Obama and the Washington establishment and it deserves our support.

I have no connection to the ASA and only pass on this information as a service,. . . . and because I am genuinely ticked off big time about what Washington and groups like the AARP are trying to do to our country.

    Liar,Liar,Pants on Fire!!

Wednesday’s Presidential address to a joint session of congress was interrupted by an unusual shout by Rep Joe Wilson of SC. When Obama stated that illegal aliens would not be given coverage under Obamacare,Joe shouted,“You lie!!”The following day, under pressure from the party leadership he called the White House and apologized for his lack of civility. He may have had a slip in civility, but was he correct in his assessment?

We have been listening to claims and counter claims repeatedly over the summer about what is and what is not part of the healthcare proposals before congress. There have been a lot of “bait and switch”tactics about the various bills, but the only bill currently presented and released by committee is the one crafted in the house. This 1000+ page monstrosity has been accused of containing most every onerous proposal possible by its opponents while the supporters claim none of these things exist in the bill. For example, some say there is no “death panel”in the bill although that has been claimed by numerous opponents. Can both claims be right?

First the illegal aliens claim. Obama is right in that the bill does have a small provision that states that persons not legally in the US are not authorized care under its provisions. Unfortunately Joe Wilson is more correct that under that bill millions of illegal aliens would receive healthcare under its provisions. How could this be? Well, although the bill specifically excludes the illegals it also specifically denies the right of healthcare providers to check for illegal status or eligibility under the plan.

Two provisions were proposed by Republicans in the house to require proof of legal residency for care under the bill and both were defeated by the Democrats in pure party line votes. Why,if illegals were not to be eligible for care, would anyone specifically want to deny the right of providers to determine if persons were legally here in this country in order to receive such care?

Well, the simple answer is that the claims that illegals would not be authorized care is disingenuous at best, and an outright lie at worst. It is obvious that the crafters of this bill intended,1) to allow illegals to receive care under its provisions and 2) to be able to deny that they did so.

What? Does this mean our Democratic leadership is actually lied to us? Yes Dorthy, politicians do lie from time to time and this tome is full of such distortions that are designed specifically to mislead the American public. Why do you suppose there was such a push to approve it without even reading it back in late July? It is plain and simple. The writers did not want this thing exposed to the “light of day”.

How about death panels? If illegals will indeed be treated under the bill,do they also exist? Well, yes and no. There is mandatory “end of life counseling”required under the bill, but nothing says anything about denial of treatment for elderly or terminal patients. However, the “footprints in the sands”indicate just such panels will exist.

Rahm Emanuel,Obama’s chief of staff, has stated as much on occasions. Even more revealing are statements of his brother Dr Ezekiel Emanuel who has been appointed to two key positions:health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research. According to him in an article in last years “Health Affairs,Feb 27,2008,“Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality are merely ‘lipstick’cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change.”In other articles he outlined how to control costs by denying treatment to the elderly infirm and the very young, both of whom are not of the same value to society as youthful basically healthy adults. Since Obama has promised to control the cost, and these are the persons he has employed to show him how to do so,what do you think? Yes Dorothy, right again.

Then Obama wants you to believe that he will not cut care to the elderly, and he will find enough savings from eliminating abuse in current Medicare and Medicaid to pay for it. And are we to believe the tooth fairy and the easter bunny are going to pop up and give you a check for a zillion dollars too?

If the federal government can find the aproximately 20% of waste and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid why haven’t they already done so? If he is not planning to cut care to the elderly why is he citing to remove 500 Billion from those two programs to fund Obamacare?

The federal government came up with Social Security back in the 30s and promised it would never be the monster that it has become. It is currently bankrupt and has had to be rescued by additional taxes repeatedly. Same for Medicare and Medicaid, and the good old U.S. Post Office as well. The truth is that government has no profit motive and is thus inept at doing anything in a fiscally effective manner. After all, when they overspend they can simply raise taxes or borrow money that they have no intent on ever repaying.

Government has no money to do anything for anyone that they do not first steal from someone else through taxation or deficit spending. Why would an alert American public want to turn over one seventh of our economy to them? Answer. We wouldn’t,that’s why they hid it in a 1000+ page monster bill and pressed the congress to pass it without reading it. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, even ridiculed anyone advocating they “Read the bill!”saying it would take “two days and two lawyers”to do so.

Keep firmly in mind what the people that push this bill are doing. They are playing the American public for fools and trying to push what they know is an abomination (or perhaps Obamination?) on us. Why do you think Obama is pushing for immediate action on something that will not take place until 2013,conveniently right after his reelection campaign?

There is no emergency requiring fast action to buy a product produced by proven snake oil salesmen America. The fact that they are trying to push this off on us is reason enough to remove them from office at the first opportunity. Thank you Joe Wilson for having the guts to recognize a shell game for what it is and call,“Liar,Liar,Pants on Fire!

    A Letter to President Obama

    August 12,2009
    Mr. Barack Hussein Obama
    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,NW
    Washington,DC 20500

    Dear Mr. Obama,

The news of late regarding your push to have citizens report directly to the White House anything they see as “fishy”regarding what is being said about you and your healthcare bill is extremely disturbing. However, this is only the latest of the outrages we have seen coming out of your administration in the short time you have been in office.

For a presidential candidate who promised a better life for all Americans,to bring the races and all Americans together,to do what is “fair”,and to have a transparent administration, you thus far appear to have gone entirely in the opposite direction on all these promises. You can’t promise a better life for all Americans by raising taxes, spending us into bankruptcy, silencing dissenters,over-taxing,over-regulating,and penalizing the very businesses that create jobs,or nationalizing our banks, corporations, and healthcare –this is socialism, sir. You cannot bring people together by pitting citizens and groups of citizens against one another and encouraging neighbors to inform on each other. This smacks of Nazism and Communism. You can’t promote fairness by muzzling those who disagree with you,or giving one class of citizens priority over another as in your healthcare bill. You cannot have a transparent administration by stifling opposing views on the healthcare bill, trying to rush it through before all viewpoints are heard and discussed in an open forum,or labeling those who dare question its provisions as organized right wing mobs and refusing to clearly address their legitimate concerns. This shows me the truly sinister nature of your approach to “governing”. It is ill-suited for a constitutional democracy such as ours, sir. I dread the day you find a way to marginalize or suspend our Constitution in its entirety,as it seems to be a constant impediment to you and your ilk quickly implementing your socialist agenda before we even know what has hit us.

In case you are wondering where I am coming from,I will tell you that I generally vote for Republican candidates but have voted democratic in the past. However,I see the current crop of Republicans as being less and less supportive of my views, including former President George W. Bush. However, and more ominous,I see the current crop of Democratic “leaders”,including yourself,as far less responsible, and substantially less supportive of historic American values than they were as recently as 50 years ago. Most Democrats have been totally hijacked by the extreme radical left within our society and can be considered for all intents and purposes as socialists. I am,by contrast,a principled conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan. What I believe is as follows and you can judge any “threat”I may pose to this country accordingly.

    As a conservative,I firmly and,without apology,proudly believe the following:

    1) That,in general, the best government is one that governs the least,i.e.,that big government means less freedom for everyone. Excessive governmental control is bad for America and Americans.

    2) That individual freedoms are God given, not man given

    3) That most Americans are inherently competent and should therefore be responsible, and held accountable, for their own actions and choices in life.

    4) That government and political corruption and crime, like all other crime, must be exposed and punished regardless of who the perpetrator is.

    5) That the rule of law is supreme and that no one,not even the President,is above the law. We have seen far too much of lawlessness and corruption in our political leaders and a reluctance by them to accept the blame for their own failings and misdeeds. Their first instinct, like that of a child,is to blame someone else. This bad example being set for future generations is appalling.

    6) That the Constitution of the United States should be the basis of all law and not subject to being rewritten by judicial decree. Conservatives believe in a strict interpretation of the Constitution and zealously support and protect it and all its amendments. For example,I will not own a gun,but I support the 2nd Amendment which grants that right to those who choose to do so. I believe the Constitution does NOT grant the right to abortion on demand, although at one time I was pro-choice. I now realize this was a prime example of judges changing the intent and scope of the U.S. Constitution by judicial decree to suit their own agenda, and this is a very dangerous precedent. Also, the issue of abortion, along with many others, should be handled on the state level in accordance with the U.S. Constitution.

    7) That our system of government and democracy itself were established under Judeo-Christian religious principles that acknowledge the existence of God and that are crucial to our continuing success as a free nation. Liberals and socialists have tried countless times to disavow such a heritage and to implement a secular society.

    8) That God and religion should be allowed into our lives, not systematically and totally removed from our society based on the extremist views of the anti-God or anti-Christian minority.

    9) That parents should make the decisions regarding the raising and educating of their children,NOT the government. Liberal or socialist views, such as yours,as a goal for America’s school children and the way we should all lead our lives would be a disaster in a free society. The programming of children to believe in a government sponsored political ideology brings back the specter of the Nazi youth and their irrational, blind allegiance to a brutal, murderous, and Godless tyrant. This approach has no business being used in any American school system with impressionable school children. People need to be free to make up their own minds on the issues and not to be unduly influenced, coerced,or bullied by those with politically motivated agendas. We must keep the ACLU out of our schools and out of our lives.

    10) That traditional moral and family values are important to the success of a free society and need to be protected and preserved, not mocked and suppressed.

    11) In free market principles with minimal government interference, control, and regulation. Wealth is created in the private sector, not by government. Far too often government interference and over-control limits job creation and prosperity. Only in a socialist or communist state is individual achievement, success, and prosperity to be condemned and penalized. Spreading the wealth,as you propose,is a socialist concept which inhibits economic growth and promotes individual dependency on others.

    12) In the sanctity and value of innocent human life. All human beings should be considered of equal value and deserving of life regardless of their sex, age, race, religious beliefs, national origin, state of health or mental capacity,or political beliefs. We are all God’s children.

    13) In peace based on strength, not appeasement,i.e.,we must have a strong national defense based on a strong, well equipped, and well trained military coupled with a defensive ABM shield,if technically feasible. War is never desirable but reality and common sense should tell any reasonable person that sometimes it is necessary to preserve our freedom and way of life. We should never give in to tyrants and terrorists. This approach has kept us free for over 230 years,so why change it?

    14) That problems and societal ills are best resolved by the people in the private community and not by government. Government involvement is overly expensive, grossly inefficient, and far too often subject to corrupting political influences. This is undeniable reality.

    15) That our economy is best served when money and resources are invested, controlled, and spent by individuals and businesses in the private sector, and not by the government through bailouts, excessive taxation, burdensome regulations,or other controls.

    16) That we must maintain our national sovereignty and suppress all efforts by those entities, such as the UN,which would impose international regulations, standards, laws, taxes, etc.,on the American people in contravention of our Constitution and representative system of government.

    17) We believe in patriotism and love of our country with an appreciation of the sacrifices of our founding fathers and our fighting military and other heroes to ensure our freedoms. We honor such people –not degrade them or label them as radicals or potential terrorists. Conservatives consider it an honor to be an American and will defend our country and way of life at all costs, and without apology or deference to anyone.

    18) Conservatives are against discrimination of any kind, whether it be based on race, sex, religion. national origin, age, condition of ones health or mental capacity,or political beliefs. Every citizen of this great country has the Constitutional God-given right to free speech and to practice their religion anytime and anywhere they choose regardless of who it may “offend”. No one shall be silenced, persecuted, threatened,or inhibited in any way solely because of their beliefs. The so-called “hate crimes”law is an attempt at thought control and would result in some crimes that could be charged only against one class of people and not another. This is a clear violation of equal protection under the law. It is a typical over-reaction to previous inequities, but rather than resolve any inequities,it creates others.

Mr. Obama, you may not agree with most of my beliefs. However, sir, you have no right –in this country –to inhibit in any way my exercising my freedom to speak out and to disagree with you. It is free political discourse that is specifically protected by the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Such is the beauty of our country and political system. But as a Constitutional scholar yourself, you sir should know this. There is nothing sinister, radical, dangerous,or extremist about our beliefs. On the contrary, sir, you and those that support your agenda for “change”,as we have seen it so far, constitute a far greater threat to America and to the freedoms all Americans cherish. It is unbelievable that you are so completely out of touch with the vast majority of the American people that you have deceived yourself into thinking that they really want or need all this socialist nonsense forcefully crammed down their throats. However,it does seem that you and your socialist supporters are trying very hard to hide the truth by suppressing any and all discussion, particularly on the healthcare fiasco. I must therefore resist you and your agenda in every legal way possible.

While you may think the above beliefs and my comments make me a “right wing extremist”or a “potential terrorist”that bears watching,in my mind, such beliefs indicate a patriot and one who respects the concept of freedom as a unique and rare blessing to be preserved at all costs. I promise you that I will never commit violence in order to support my beliefs, however, that does not mean that I will not strongly resist others attempting to use violence or other illegal means to suppress my freedoms. Unlike you, sir,I respect the viewpoints of others, even if they oppose mine. I also promise, sir,to do everything legal that is within my power to see that you and your fellow socialists are voted out of office. This is the American way. Unlike you, sir,we will not resort to misinformation, threats, suppression, intimidation, bullying,or surveillance in responding to those with whom we disagree. The truth is the best weapon available to freedom loving people and it will ultimately prevail.

I question your motives Mr. Obama on wanting to be the “leader”of this wonderful country,a country that has withstood the test of time as a democracy. I say this because it seems to me that your primary goal so far has been attempting to destroy everything that has made America the destination of choice for the oppressed and the envy of the free world. Fortunately, two hundred million other Americans, the so-called silent majority, largely agree with me and are now starting to speak up. Although you may try,you cannot silence all of us,or put us all under surveillance or in jail. Free people are not going to give up their freedoms and rights so easily.

You may have noticed that I have not addressed you with the title that customarily accompanies the person who is the primary occupant of the White House. Unlike me and the huge majority of other Americans that are proud to be born in America,I do not believe you are a natural born American citizen according to the Constitution, and therefore are not qualified for the office you are holding. It appears that you have perpetrated, and have so far gotten away with, the biggest hoax ever carried out in the history of our country. I believe this because of your blatant refusal to provide proper proof of your birth, assuming it is available. Why would you not provide it and end the controversy and doubt? Either you have no such proof or you are so arrogant and filled with the idea of your own self importance that you think you are above the law and do not need to comply with it. Either way sir,in my opinion, you are not entitled to the office you hold and therefore not entitled to the respect that normally goes with it.

In accordance with your directive and request,I have reported myself directly to you as,according to your description,a “right wing extremist”. I have fully elaborated on my “fishy”viewpoints and have hidden nothing. This letter is necessarily long and detailed so as to avoid any misunderstanding by you. I am proud to have the conservative viewpoints I have described above and to be whatever you think that makes me. I will apologize to no one for my conservative views and beliefs –and I will never disavow them.

Open Letter to the Nation’s Leadership

On June 17th Glenn Beck read an open letter written by Janet Contreras.  This letter expresses her frustration and anger over the attempt by our national leadership to void the constitution and convert this country into a socialist dictatorship against the will of the American people.

Click on this link to read the full text of  Janet’s letter.  You will likely agree with her that our representatives are not doing their jobs of being representatives, but are attempting to take the country by coup.

Read the letter and if you agree,go to the petition site and add your name to the cosigners of the petition.  Let our nation’s leadership know what we the people of this great nation think of their attempt to do away with the laws, traditions, and way of life of our great nation.

    Specter’s Flip

There is lots of news coverage about Arlan Specter’s flip to the Democratic Party.  I have received several e-mails to that end from Republicans deploring the crass deed of this individual.  The left wing news media has been all over themselves in their orgasmic zeal reporting what they see as the death knoll of the Republican party.  For my part I say,“Good move Arlan,it’s about time.”

Arlan Specter is facing a reelection next year and has an announced Republican candidate in the primary race.  That candidate already has a 10+ percent lead according to the pollsters.  Specter knows that if he remains a member of the Republican his days as a US senator are extremely limited and he faces an almost inevitable defeat next spring,so he flipped.  What do you expect from the typical self-serving demagogue in Washington?

If you look at Specter’s voting record,he has always been a Democrat.  On critical issues he typically votes for the opposition.  He typifies the RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) of the party,a group that has undermined the party for years.  Does his “flip”hurt the party?   Michael Steel believes “Arlen Specter handed Barack Obama and his band of radical leftists nearly absolute power in the United States Senate. In leaving the Republican Party–and joining the Democrats–he absolutely undercut Republicans’efforts to slow down Obama’s radical agenda through the threat of filibuster.”   Oh come on Michael,  did you really believe Specter could be counted on to stop a Democrat power play during a filibuster?  He was always a threat to any filibuster effort anyway.  Historically he could never be counted on for any critical issue.  Look at his voting record.  The man is without principles and for years has used the Republican name because in his home state it ups his election potential.   His current flip just shows that in a clear and succinct manner.

Does his flip indicate a long time threat to the Republicans?   Once again, not really.  It  does perhaps raise his possibility of reelection next year, but only in a marginal way.  It also raises the possibility of losses of a few things in Obama’s agenda that might have been stopped by the threat of filibuster, but how many of these things could Specter have actually been counted on anyway?  He will not now face a sure defeat in the Spring primary as Steele probably hoped, but he still must face that Republican challenger in November against a candidate that will, after this little episode, probably lead him by much more than 10% of Republican voters.  He will likely now out poll Specter by 50 or more percentage points among Republicans.  The only question is will Specter pick up enough Democrat support to make up the difference?  It’s possible, but I think,at least at this point it is unlikely.

Some might point to Lieberman’s victory by changing from the Democratic party and successfully running as an independent in ’06.   However,I see a big difference here.   Lieberman ran in his party’s primary and was defeated by a party machine, not really by the rank and file.  He still had the grassroots support of the people of his home state from both parties.  Lieberman was a true centrist and is personally an honorable individual, not a purely self serving demagogue like Specter.  I don’t like Lieberman’s  politics and many of his positions, but you have to respect the man for his values.  Specter does not earn that kind of respect from his opposing party and I suspect the voters of Pennsylvania will come to a similar conclusion.

Steele also stated,“Clearly, this was an act based on political expediency by a craven politician desperate to keep his Washington power base–not the act of a statesman.” Well,Duhhh!  Come on Mike,in this modern day the true statesmen in Washington are indeed few.  Among the Democrats they are almost totally nil and even among Republicans they are limited.  (I only said “almost totally nil”among the Democrats in hopes one could actually jump up to prove me wrong)

A statesman is one who will support truth and the welfare of the people as well as the good of the country over his own personal interests.  How many of today’s Washington politicians fit that description?  We need a good housecleaning in Washington and the only way to do that is paint these low life self-serving demagogs in their true colors so the voters can see the difference.  The voters aren’t smart enough to see slight shades of gray.  They have to see bright colorful displays to show the difference.  Spector just showed his true colors in a bright and colorful way so the people of Pennsylvania can finally see him for what he is.  That is a good thing and it eliminates another of the wolves-in-sheeps-clothing from the Republican party.  Can that be so bad?

    545 People

    Reprinted Article By Charlie Reesereese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered,if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits,WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered,if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes,WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget The president does. You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code,Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy,Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators,435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913,Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator,a congressman,or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.

The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises,it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it,they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted —by present facts —of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

    • If the tax code is unfair,it’s because they want it unfair.
    • If the budget is in the red,it’s because they want it in the red ..
    • If the Army &Marines are in IRAQ ,it’s because they want them in IRAQ
    • If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people,it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish;to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject;to regulators,to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all,do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,”“inflation,”or “politics”that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

The Tea Party –An Idea Whose Time has Come

On December 16th 1773 colonists disguised as Indians boarded British ships in the port of Boston and siezed the cargo of tea and tossed it into the sea.  This was in opposition to the “Tea Tax”which had been imposed on the colonists by the British Parliament.  They had no representation in parliament and demanded it was unfair they should be taxed without representation.  This great “Boston Tea Party”led directly to the war for independence that started only a little over three years later.

Today we are in similar situations in this country.  Our elected “representatives”of both parties have been ignoring the people for years and spending public money like drunken sailors.  They have now become so irresponsible even China, who has been buying America’s debt for years is beginning to say,“No more!”   The latest in these violations was their voting for a $500 BILLION (Thats $500,000,000,000 Dorothy) bill WITHOUT EVEN READING IT!!!! Now they are printing money like crazy to cover these expenditures.  That’s new unbacked dollars that will make inflation soar, perhaps the cruelest tax of all.

People are now beginning to say,“I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to stand for it anymore.”   Trillions of dollars have been spent or squandered on “bailouts”and phony “stimulus”bills that favor bankers and political buddies.  This is making huge numbers of Americans very upset at the wholesale mortgaging of the future for them and their children.  At latest count the expenditures of the last six months alone have created an indebtedness of about $30,000 for every household in America.  If you add interest and inflation to that debt it pushes it to well in excess of $100,000 per household over the next 10 years.

Around the country people are having protests and calling them “Tea Parties”.  Attendance has been increasing with many having thousands of “party goers”attending.  These protests are not aimed at one political party because both political parties have been guilty of the same thing.,2933,510579,00.html!/1596/

The TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties have gained momentum and there is now a huge rally planned for Tax Day (April 15th) in cities all over the country.  There was one such day back in February when there were parties in forty cities.  The Tax Day Tea Party is expected to have protests in over 300 cities nationwide and well may become the largest multi-city protest in American history. asks the questions:

Are you fed up with a Congress and a president who:

    • vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it?
    • are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying?
    • consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected?
    • want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others?
    • punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not?
    • admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda?
    • run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China?
    • want government controlled health care?
    • want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections?
    • refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country?
    • appoint a defender of child pornography to the Number 2 position in the Justice Department?
    • want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will?
    • want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home heating fuels?
    • want to reduce your tax deductibility for charitable gifts?
    • take money from your family budget to pay for their federal budget?

If so,participate in the TEA party rally, the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party.”

Many are deciding  to “go out for tea”on tax day.  I suspect I will because I’m TEA’d.  How about you?
Perhaps this could be our theme song:
