The campaigning is over, the votes are cast, the decision is in. Now the fingers are pointing. “Coakley was a weak candidate.” “She didn’t work hard enough.” “She didn’t have the ‘fire in her belly.’” “She made too many gaffes.” All these finger pointing exercises are phony. The race for the senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy was lost in Washington, not in Massachusetts. A month ago Coakley had a traditional Massachusetts style Democrat lead in the polls. This is expected since Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than three to one there. Obama won this state by over twenty points and Coakley’s lead at that time was similar. After all, this was the most secure senate seat in the nation for the Democrats. Then some things happened far away in DC. The Democrats in the senate used their super majority to pass “Obamacare” without one single vote from the opposition party. They did it with back room deals closed to the public view where they bought off votes with bribes and blackmail. Such was the massive $300 million dollar Louisiana Purchase wherein Mary Landrieu became the “most expensive prostitute in history”. This was followed by an even more egregious deal with Nebraska in which the other forty nine states would pay Nebraska’s share of the taxes to support Obamacare. They shut out the opposition party from any participation in the drafting of the bill while it was formatted by lobbyists, unions, and other favored groups behind closed doors and far from the public view. This in spite of their pledge to be the most open and honest administration ever. After passage of the bill they immediately began the house/senate conference process once again behind closed doors. When specifically questioned as to why they were not letting Cspan cameras into the process as Obama promised at least eight times during the campaign,Pelosi laughed and said,“A lot of things are said on the campaign trail.” Take that America!! Basically the Democrat leadership thumbed their noses at the American public. They lied about being open, honest, and above board while conducting themselves in a despicable and tyrannical manner. The were acting in a most elitist and undemocratic way while obviously lying about their every action in the assumption that the stupid American public didn’t know the difference. Then the state of Massachusetts began the process to elect a new senator to fill an open seat vacated by Ted Kennedy’s death. Their state had passed a universal healthcare bill several years ago and now they were being asked to pay more taxes for the rest of the nation to do likewise. Already their state was running into financial trouble trying to pay for their system and they were being tasked to fund Nebraska too? Surely you’ve gotta be kidding! The result was very predictable to anyone with a half a brain. All Scott Brown had to do was drive around the state in his truck and point out that the Democrats were treating them as a bunch of idiots. He didn’t have to even call on the Republican big hitters to support him. They weren’t needed as long as he could simply point out how Washington was playing Massachusetts and the rest of the nation as a bunch of dummys that weren’t worthy of consideration. He promised to be the 41st vote to stop Obamacare and he climbed steadily in the polls. He promised to restrain taxes and out of control spending and he climbed higher in the polls. By the time the Democrats figured out this insidious master plan it was too late and the momentum was unstopable. Coakley had already gone on record supporting the entire Obama agenda with its new taxes, higher spending and massive deficits that would just get bigger year by year. Washington attempted to point the blame at the deficits of the Bush administration but the spin didn’t ring true. After all,Obama’s deficits, by their own calculations,in only the first 20 months will exceed all of Bush’s for the entire eight years of his presidency! Something didn’t compute and it didn’t take much to make the voters understand that! Now Brown had Obamacare, spending, and government corruption to hammer his opponent with. No wonder he won so handily. The Democrats in Washington had transformed the safest seat in the nation into a totally unwinnable situation. The only question about this is,will they acknowledge their errors and correct their course to try to regain the trust of the American people as Clinton did after Nov of ‘94? Or will they rely on spin and finger pointing to attempt to assess the blame as has been their habit of late. My guess is the latter. Obama is not Clinton. Regardless of his promises to govern as a moderate,he is an ideologue with his allegiance placed with a far left agenda. Additionally the left of his party has promised to destroy him if he changes course. He will likely continue on his current path until the inevitable train wreck occurs and that will likely occur somewhere around 9:30 p.m. on November 2nd 2010. However, other Democrats in the house and senate are likely not to share his view as most of them are facing reelection battles in only a few months. Now that they know the nature of the road they are on I suspect that they will be much less inclined to continue on that Kamikaze path they have followed for the last year. The most liberal state in the nation has spoken and their message is that they do not want the socialist utopia that Obama,Reid, and Pelosi are serving up. They can figure out that it is a path to ruin even if their leadership can not! If they can figure it out don’t you think the people in the other states might just do likewise? ===================================================== written by Newt Gingrich The editorial writers at the New York Times thought they were getting the White House’s back when they defended cuts to Medicare Advantage last week. In fact, they were validating the blatant dishonesty of administration and congressional officials pushing for the cuts. In their editorial last Sunday, the Times writers revealed in stunning fashion the lies that have been used to convince increasingly skeptical seniors that their Medicare Advantage benefits won’t be sacrificed to pay for government-run health care. Dishonesty: Then, literally on the next line, the Times contradicts itself, and stumbles inadvertently on to the truth: Intimidation: Current legislation in Washington will gut the program. H.R. 3200 in the House will cut Medicare Advantage by $172 billion. The bill sponsored by Sen. Max Baucus in the Senate will cut the popular program by $123 billion. If you’re just hearing about this now, here’s the reason:When Humana (with whom we’ve worked with in the past at CHT) tried to inform its Medicare Advantage members that Democratic health care reform could lower their benefits, the government ordered them to cease and desist and opened an investigation of the company. Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) subsequently introduced legislation in the Senate Finance Committee to protect the 1st Amendment rights of private insurance companies to criticize health care reform proposals. Democrats on the committee unanimously defeated the bill. Hypocrisy: The AARP Sells Out Seniors Of course the Washington leadership of the AARP is working closely with Democrats on health care reform. Incredibly, the self-appointed voice of America’s seniors supports “reforms” that will cut the benefits —if not the entire Medicare Advantage coverage —of millions of seniors. How can this be? It’s simple. The AARP is a liberal interest group like any other, and it cut a deal with the party in charge in Washington. In exchange for selling out the seniors it claims to represent, the AARP will get potentially millions in lucrative insurance contracts, and quite possibly something more. Tell Your Friends We’re Not Going to Take It Anymore But all that is required for these tactics to prevail in Washington is for good people to sit back and do nothing. As debate in Congress continues, here’s what you can do:Send this newsletter to a friend,a co-worker,or a relative who isn’t yet aware of what Washington is doing. Send this newsletter to your senators and representatives. Let them know that, despite the dishonesty, the intimidation and the hypocrisy,we know what they’re doing. And we’re not going to take it anymore. Your friend, =================================================== Many of us seniors have depended on the AARP for years for information, cost saving offers, and representation of seniors interests. We can not depend on them to do that and we can not sit by like sheep while they accept our membership fees at the same time they sell us out in Washington while lying to us to boot! Let them know what you think by cutting up your AARP card and sending it back to them! There is an alternative with the American Seniors Association. Perhaps even a better suggestion is to cut up your AARP card and send it to the ASA with your new membership application. They will give you a second years membership for that cut up card! That’s a whole lot more than we are getting from AARP these days. Check out the American Seniors Association It is a true seniors advocacy organization that has not sold out to the big money offers from Obama and the Washington establishment and it deserves our support. I have no connection to the ASA and only pass on this information as a service,. . . . and because I am genuinely ticked off big time about what Washington and groups like the AARP are trying to do to our country. Chuck Wednesday’s Presidential address to a joint session of congress was interrupted by an unusual shout by Rep Joe Wilson of SC. When Obama stated that illegal aliens would not be given coverage under Obamacare,Joe shouted,“You lie!!”The following day, under pressure from the party leadership he called the White House and apologized for his lack of civility. He may have had a slip in civility, but was he correct in his assessment? We have been listening to claims and counter claims repeatedly over the summer about what is and what is not part of the healthcare proposals before congress. There have been a lot of “bait and switch”tactics about the various bills, but the only bill currently presented and released by committee is the one crafted in the house. This 1000+ page monstrosity has been accused of containing most every onerous proposal possible by its opponents while the supporters claim none of these things exist in the bill. For example, some say there is no “death panel”in the bill although that has been claimed by numerous opponents. Can both claims be right? First the illegal aliens claim. Obama is right in that the bill does have a small provision that states that persons not legally in the US are not authorized care under its provisions. Unfortunately Joe Wilson is more correct that under that bill millions of illegal aliens would receive healthcare under its provisions. How could this be? Well, although the bill specifically excludes the illegals it also specifically denies the right of healthcare providers to check for illegal status or eligibility under the plan. Two provisions were proposed by Republicans in the house to require proof of legal residency for care under the bill and both were defeated by the Democrats in pure party line votes. Why,if illegals were not to be eligible for care, would anyone specifically want to deny the right of providers to determine if persons were legally here in this country in order to receive such care? Well, the simple answer is that the claims that illegals would not be authorized care is disingenuous at best, and an outright lie at worst. It is obvious that the crafters of this bill intended,1) to allow illegals to receive care under its provisions and 2) to be able to deny that they did so. What? Does this mean our Democratic leadership is actually lied to us? Yes Dorthy, politicians do lie from time to time and this tome is full of such distortions that are designed specifically to mislead the American public. Why do you suppose there was such a push to approve it without even reading it back in late July? It is plain and simple. The writers did not want this thing exposed to the “light of day”. How about death panels? If illegals will indeed be treated under the bill,do they also exist? Well, yes and no. There is mandatory “end of life counseling”required under the bill, but nothing says anything about denial of treatment for elderly or terminal patients. However, the “footprints in the sands”indicate just such panels will exist. Rahm Emanuel,Obama’s chief of staff, has stated as much on occasions. Even more revealing are statements of his brother Dr Ezekiel Emanuel who has been appointed to two key positions:health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research. According to him in an article in last years “Health Affairs,Feb 27,2008,“Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality are merely ‘lipstick’cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change.”In other articles he outlined how to control costs by denying treatment to the elderly infirm and the very young, both of whom are not of the same value to society as youthful basically healthy adults. Since Obama has promised to control the cost, and these are the persons he has employed to show him how to do so,what do you think? Yes Dorothy, right again. Then Obama wants you to believe that he will not cut care to the elderly, and he will find enough savings from eliminating abuse in current Medicare and Medicaid to pay for it. And are we to believe the tooth fairy and the easter bunny are going to pop up and give you a check for a zillion dollars too? If the federal government can find the aproximately 20% of waste and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid why haven’t they already done so? If he is not planning to cut care to the elderly why is he citing to remove 500 Billion from those two programs to fund Obamacare? The federal government came up with Social Security back in the 30s and promised it would never be the monster that it has become. It is currently bankrupt and has had to be rescued by additional taxes repeatedly. Same for Medicare and Medicaid, and the good old U.S. Post Office as well. The truth is that government has no profit motive and is thus inept at doing anything in a fiscally effective manner. After all, when they overspend they can simply raise taxes or borrow money that they have no intent on ever repaying. Government has no money to do anything for anyone that they do not first steal from someone else through taxation or deficit spending. Why would an alert American public want to turn over one seventh of our economy to them? Answer. We wouldn’t,that’s why they hid it in a 1000+ page monster bill and pressed the congress to pass it without reading it. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, even ridiculed anyone advocating they “Read the bill!”saying it would take “two days and two lawyers”to do so. Keep firmly in mind what the people that push this bill are doing. They are playing the American public for fools and trying to push what they know is an abomination (or perhaps Obamination?) on us. Why do you think Obama is pushing for immediate action on something that will not take place until 2013,conveniently right after his reelection campaign? There is no emergency requiring fast action to buy a product produced by proven snake oil salesmen America. The fact that they are trying to push this off on us is reason enough to remove them from office at the first opportunity. Thank you Joe Wilson for having the guts to recognize a shell game for what it is and call,“Liar,Liar,Pants on Fire!“ There is lots of news coverage about Arlan Specter’s flip to the Democratic Party. I have received several e-mails to that end from Republicans deploring the crass deed of this individual. The left wing news media has been all over themselves in their orgasmic zeal reporting what they see as the death knoll of the Republican party. For my part I say,“Good move Arlan,it’s about time.” Arlan Specter is facing a reelection next year and has an announced Republican candidate in the primary race. That candidate already has a 10+ percent lead according to the pollsters. Specter knows that if he remains a member of the Republican his days as a US senator are extremely limited and he faces an almost inevitable defeat next spring,so he flipped. What do you expect from the typical self-serving demagogue in Washington? If you look at Specter’s voting record,he has always been a Democrat. On critical issues he typically votes for the opposition. He typifies the RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) of the party,a group that has undermined the party for years. Does his “flip”hurt the party? Michael Steel believes “Arlen Specter handed Barack Obama and his band of radical leftists nearly absolute power in the United States Senate. In leaving the Republican Party–and joining the Democrats–he absolutely undercut Republicans’efforts to slow down Obama’s radical agenda through the threat of filibuster.“ Oh come on Michael, did you really believe Specter could be counted on to stop a Democrat power play during a filibuster? He was always a threat to any filibuster effort anyway. Historically he could never be counted on for any critical issue. Look at his voting record. The man is without principles and for years has used the Republican name because in his home state it ups his election potential. His current flip just shows that in a clear and succinct manner. Does his flip indicate a long time threat to the Republicans? Once again, not really. It does perhaps raise his possibility of reelection next year, but only in a marginal way. It also raises the possibility of losses of a few things in Obama’s agenda that might have been stopped by the threat of filibuster, but how many of these things could Specter have actually been counted on anyway? He will not now face a sure defeat in the Spring primary as Steele probably hoped, but he still must face that Republican challenger in November against a candidate that will, after this little episode, probably lead him by much more than 10% of Republican voters. He will likely now out poll Specter by 50 or more percentage points among Republicans. The only question is will Specter pick up enough Democrat support to make up the difference? It’s possible, but I think,at least at this point it is unlikely. Some might point to Lieberman’s victory by changing from the Democratic party and successfully running as an independent in ’06. However,I see a big difference here. Lieberman ran in his party’s primary and was defeated by a party machine, not really by the rank and file. He still had the grassroots support of the people of his home state from both parties. Lieberman was a true centrist and is personally an honorable individual, not a purely self serving demagogue like Specter. I don’t like Lieberman’s politics and many of his positions, but you have to respect the man for his values. Specter does not earn that kind of respect from his opposing party and I suspect the voters of Pennsylvania will come to a similar conclusion. Steele also stated,“Clearly, this was an act based on political expediency by a craven politician desperate to keep his Washington power base–not the act of a statesman.” Well,Duhhh! Come on Mike,in this modern day the true statesmen in Washington are indeed few. Among the Democrats they are almost totally nil and even among Republicans they are limited. (I only said “almost totally nil”among the Democrats in hopes one could actually jump up to prove me wrong) A statesman is one who will support truth and the welfare of the people as well as the good of the country over his own personal interests. How many of today’s Washington politicians fit that description? We need a good housecleaning in Washington and the only way to do that is paint these low life self-serving demagogs in their true colors so the voters can see the difference. The voters aren’t smart enough to see slight shades of gray. They have to see bright colorful displays to show the difference. Spector just showed his true colors in a bright and colorful way so the people of Pennsylvania can finally see him for what he is. That is a good thing and it eliminates another of the wolves-in-sheeps-clothing from the Republican party. Can that be so bad? Reprinted Article By Charlie Reese Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered,if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits,WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered,if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes,WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don’t propose a federal budget The president does. You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code,Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy,Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators,435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913,Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank. I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator,a congressman,or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises,it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it,they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted —by present facts —of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish;to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject;to regulators,to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all,do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,”“inflation,”or “politics”that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees. We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper. On December 16th 1773 colonists disguised as Indians boarded British ships in the port of Boston and siezed the cargo of tea and tossed it into the sea. This was in opposition to the “Tea Tax”which had been imposed on the colonists by the British Parliament. They had no representation in parliament and demanded it was unfair they should be taxed without representation. This great “Boston Tea Party”led directly to the war for independence that started only a little over three years later. Today we are in similar situations in this country. Our elected “representatives”of both parties have been ignoring the people for years and spending public money like drunken sailors. They have now become so irresponsible even China, who has been buying America’s debt for years is beginning to say,“No more!” The latest in these violations was their voting for a $500 BILLION (Thats $500,000,000,000 Dorothy) bill WITHOUT EVEN READING IT!!!! Now they are printing money like crazy to cover these expenditures. That’s new unbacked dollars that will make inflation soar, perhaps the cruelest tax of all. People are now beginning to say,“I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to stand for it anymore.” Trillions of dollars have been spent or squandered on “bailouts”and phony “stimulus”bills that favor bankers and political buddies. This is making huge numbers of Americans very upset at the wholesale mortgaging of the future for them and their children. At latest count the expenditures of the last six months alone have created an indebtedness of about $30,000 for every household in America. If you add interest and inflation to that debt it pushes it to well in excess of $100,000 per household over the next 10 years. Around the country people are having protests and calling them “Tea Parties”. Attendance has been increasing with many having thousands of “party goers”attending. These protests are not aimed at one political party because both political parties have been guilty of the same thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M0ZOMXPzQ0 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,510579,00.html http://www.pjtv.com/video/American_Tea_Party/Glenn_Reynolds%3A_The_Tax_Day_Tea_Parties_Coming!/1596/ The TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties have gained momentum and there is now a huge rally planned for Tax Day (April 15th) in cities all over the country. There was one such day back in February when there were parties in forty cities. The Tax Day Tea Party is expected to have protests in over 300 cities nationwide and well may become the largest multi-city protest in American history. Www.teapartyday.com asks the questions: “Are you fed up with a Congress and a president who:
If so,participate in the TEA party rally, the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party.” Many are deciding to “go out for tea”on tax day. I suspect I will because I’m TEA’d. How about you? | |||||

Thoughts on Wisconsin
These ridiculous tactics are being encouraged and orchestrated by the DNC with encouragement directly from the White House. Obama was quick to come out with comments about “ratcheting down the rhetoric”just a few weeks ago,but now totally turns a blind eye to the outrageous actions in Wisconson as well as similar events in Indiana, Ohio, and elsewhere as these states try to dig their way out of the looming likelihood of impending bankruptcy.
The national news media is quick to condemn the Tea Party and accuse them of everything from extremism to violence in their protests while they can produce not one single picture or video of such actions. All the while they say not a single word about the hundreds of documented and obvious extremist and fraudulent actions of the activists in Madison. They don’t even condemn Capuano for openly calling for violence in the streets of Madison!
Enough is enough. Everything possible should be done to strip these people of the public feedbag that they have strapped around their neck. The legislators that refuse to legislate should be stripped of their elected positions. Their seats should declared “vacated”by the governor and special elections scheduled to replace them with people that will actually show up to represent their constituents. Rep Capauno should be charged for attempting to incite a riot,a crime under federal law as well as in all fifty states! Teachers that were away from their jobs claiming “sick days”should be identified from the thousands of photos and videos available and fired for the fraud they perpetuated on the taxpayers of Wisconsin. Likewise for other public employees that participated illegally in this debacle should be terminated.
Physicians that falsified “sick notes” should have their licenses pulled and prohibited from practicing medicine in the future. That idiot that kept screaming “Fox lies,Fox lies” attempting to prevent Fox news reporters from accurately reporting the events should be deported just for extreme stupidity or perhaps referred to a local vet for neutering just to prevent the potential of spreading the insanity by breeding. Media representatives that turned a blind eye to the Nazi signs and rhetoric should, well since they are not public employees, they should be just ignored and their outlets boycotted by reasonable people.
We have a federal government that is $14 trillion (that’s a 14 followed by twelve zeros folks) and instead of making a serious effort to work on correcting that problem Obama submits a budget that perpetuates federal deficits for the foreseeable future. Obama and his Democratic cohorts ran up almost as much of that debt in two years as Bush did in eight yet continue to blame Bush for the current financial plight accepting none of the blame for themselves. Now when states attempt to correct for their looming bankruptcies he supports the status quo and advocates for the glutenous public service unions that are raping the taxpayers of the states of Wisconsin,Indiana,Ohio, and elsewhere with bloated contracts.
